I haven’t heard this ST:DSC theory but it makes SO much sense after watching the teaser for episode 8…..

Ok, I don’t really post on my own blog here, but just hear me out. There is undeniable drug imagery in the Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum (Season 1, Episode 8) trailer. I mean, look:

The arm injections, the looking strung out… (lets also acknowledge that Jesus iconography there). Also the entire Stamets tag is just riffs on him being high on spores all the time. 

~mind expansion~ just as Saru’s voiceover is saying that this is the first time he hasn’t felt fear

My point being… what if the reason we don’t see DASH drive in the future is because it can be used as an addictive drug? Thoughts?
